Does the Icelandic author of this article have a point or is this article anti-Amercan?
I found this article in Iceland Review to be biased. I personally think the artist in question is wrong and is seeking monetary gain by using a URL that is so close to Wal-Mart´s own that his motive is profit, not freedom of choice I too dislike Wal-Mart for a number of reasons but can´t find fault with their suing this “artist” for the reason I mentioned. I also find that the author of this article has an anti-American bias and fails to mention that Iceland is the most expensive country in the world to live in and that salaries here, while high by American standards, don´t have the same purchasing power as that in the U.S. Shopping at the local supermarket also leads to surprises, other than exorbitant prices, such as the age of the cashiers working at some of these markets. I am speaking of children under the age of 16. Does anyone else out there share the same opinion?

A domain name isn’t art, and apparently the suit has nothing to do with the piece of artwork. It’s up to the court whether it violates the cybersquatting law. The rest of the blog piece is just a typical anti-Walmart tirade. Whether Walmart is “bad” or not is irrelevent to the merits of the case.
